What is T&S Fundamentals?

T&S Fundamentals LLC is a local business that specializes in teaching and qualifying individuals who want to acquire their own Maryland Wear and Carry license. We also recertify individuals who currently possess a Maryland Wear and Carry License and offer the Maryland Handgun Qualification License Course (HQL). We are located in Jarrettsville, MD.

 

All of our instructors have over 25 years of police training experience and offer the quality instruction and training required to carry a firearm in Maryland. Our goal is to provide personal and attentive instruction, as such we limit our classes to 10 students per class.

Wear and Carry Class Overview:

This is a 16-hour class, mandated by the State of Maryland, pertaining to firearm possession, usage and safety, as well as self and home defense, home safety, care and cleaning of firearms and firearms qualification. This class includes your HQL. 

What to bring?

A lunch, memo pad, pen/pencil, and your own ear and eye protection (if you have them).  If not, ear and eye protection will be provided.

What NOT TO BRING?

Do not bring any firearms or ammunition. Leave them at home or secured in your vehicle. No personal firearms or ammunition will be allowed in the classroom.

 

FIREARMS and AMMUNITION will be provided for your training.

What to wear?

Please wear closed toe shoes, such as sneakers or boots and long pants with a belt that can accommodate an "Outside the Waist" holster. Please no shirts with low cut necklines.  Dress for the weather because qualifications will be outside.

 

Please be on time so that we can settle in and commence class promptly.

Wear and Carry Recertifications Overview:

This is an 8-hour class, mandated by the State of Maryland, which involves a review of Maryland and Federal laws pertaining to firearm possession, usage and safety, as well as self and home defense, home safety, care and cleaning of firearms and firearms qualification.

What to bring?

  1. A lunch, memo pad, pen/pencil, and your own ear and eye protection (if you have them).  If not, ear and eye protection will be provided. 

  2. Your selected firearm, ammunition, magazines, or speed loader pouches, and holster.

What NOT TO BRING?

Do not bring any firearms or ammunition into the classroom.

What to wear?

Please wear closed toe shoes, such as sneakers or boots and long pants with a belt that can accommodate an "Outside the Waist" holster. Please no shirts with low cut necklines.  Dress for the weather because qualifications will be outside.

Combat Pistol School Overview:

T&S Fundamentals is teaming up with EGA (Eagle, Globe, and Anchor) Precision Shooting to present our combat pistol school. This is a very challenging and fun school and it will push your ability to move and shoot under stress and time constraints. You will be engaging steel targets from different positions up and down the range. It is one of the best handgun training configurations I have ever attended and taught. Lots of fun and camaraderie to be had by all.

 

You will need to bring a minimum of five (5) magazines, magazine pouch, outside the waistband holster, and 300-400 rounds of ammunition. Having an OWB holster to accommodate safe quick drawing and holstering is key. No inside the waistband or pancake hip holsters. A kydex or leather and kydex hybrids are recommended. If you need suggestions, please contact me. Bring lunch, water, drinks, and a fold out chair.

 

The cost is $400.00 per student. Please contact me to let me know if you want to attend. You will then send your check for $400.00 to T&S Fundamentals LLC, 4073 Born Road Jarrettsville MD 21084 to complete your registration. If for any reason you must cancel, please give me at least 48 hours notice and your fee will be refunded. The class max capacity is 12 shooters.

Basic Handgun Fundamentals Class Overview:

This is a 4-hour class that concentrates on firearms safety and shooting fundamentals such as, Stance, Grip, sight alignment/sight picture, and trigger control. This class includes approximately 3 hours in classroom and 1 hour of live fire at range.

What to bring?

A lunch, memo pad and pen/pencil, ear and eye protection if you have it. If not, it will be provided for you.

What NOT TO BRING?

Do not bring any firearms or ammunition into the classroom.

 

FIREARMS and AMMUNITION will be provided for you to train with.

What to wear?

Please wear closed toe shoes. Boots or workout shoes will work just fine. Long pants with a belt that can accommodate an "Outside the Waist" holster. Please no shirts with low cut necklines.

Please dress for the weather because qualifications will be outside no matter if it the weather (with a few exceptions).

HQL Class Overview:

This is a 4-hour class, mandated by the State of Maryland, that enables you to purchase a firearm. This class covers Maryland and Federal laws pertaining to firearm possession, usage and safety, as well as self and home defense, home safety, care and cleaning of firearms, and a live fire exercise. 

What to bring?

A lunch, memo pad, pen/pencil, and your own ear and eye protection (if you have them).  If not, ear and eye protection will be provided.

What NOT TO BRING?

Do not bring any firearms or ammunition. Leave them at home or secured in your vehicle. No personal firearms or ammunition will be allowed in the classroom.

Private Lessons Overview:

If you are a beginner or wish to improve your firearm handling skills, we will be happy to assist you. Depending upon your skill level, physical abilities/limitations, and overall familiarity with firearms, we will customize a lesson to meet your skill set and needs. Lessons will consist of one-on-one instruction in the classroom and/or range. Private lessons are scheduled in one-hour to four-hour blocks.

 

PRICE:  $30.00 per hour. Cash or check. Checks payable to “T&S Fundamentals.”

Instructor:

Kevin Felbinger is a twenty-eight (28) year veteran of the Baltimore County Police Department and former United States Marine. He has been a police Classroom and Firearms Instructor for 25 years. He is a former Tactical Team member with extensive training and operational experience. He is certified by the State of Maryland to instruct and certify individuals for a Maryland wear and carry license and is also a USCCA certified instructor.
